Final project conference. Warsaw, 5th September 2023

The final conference has been organised as an additional activity, not planned in the original project application. After suggestion of the European Union Agency for Asylum’s (EUAA) and acceptance of the European Commission the project beneficiary, European Project Implementation Centre, decided to hold the event in order to share experience and good practice of activities aiming at increasing the EU Member States potential to deploy experts as members of Asylum Support Teams.
More than 30 participants from Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Estonia, Lithuania, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, EUAA, FRONTEX and the European Commission Delegation in Warsaw were present as well as numerous representatives from the Polish central government and regional bodies.
During the conference speakers shared information on the project background and implementation, regional cooperation and solidarity, EU’s sources of funding for internationally implemented projects, EUAA’s perspective, including deployment of experts, challenges and possible solutions in tackling migration to EU as well as achievements and challenges in deployment of trained experts as members of Asylum Support Teams. One of the project trained experts presented also his personal mission testimonial on deployment to Romania.
