Project objective
The general objective of the project is to support Member States which experience particular pressures on their asylum and migration systems as well as “controlled centres” to be possibly established within or outside the EU territory.

European Project Implementation Centre
European Project Implementation Centre of the Ministry of the Interior and Administration (EPIC), Poland is a public administration unit subordinate to the Minister of the Interior and Administration. EPIC is specialised in implementation and project management related to EU co-financed and external aid projects concerning internal security, migrations and asylum. In particular, EPIC is the Delegated Authority for the Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund as well as for the Internal Security Fund (both instruments).

Ministry of the Interior of the Czech Republic
Ministry of the Interior of the Czech Republic, by means of the Department of Asylum and Migration Policy, is the key Czech national migration authority responsible for general migration policy and migration legislation. Czech MoI is also administration authority responsible for administration procedures related to entry of foreigners into the territory of the Czech Republic, as well as their stay in the territory, including tolerated stay status. Czech MoI is also authority responsible for administration procedures related to asylum and subsidiary protection.

Office for Foreigners
Office for Foreigners (OfF) is the national Polish administration authority entrusted with tasks related to entry of foreigners into the territory of Poland, their transit and stay, granting international protection, asylum, tolerated stay status and temporary protection. The Office is supervised by the Minister of the Interior and Administration.

Non-partner participant: European Asylum Support Office
Non-partner participant: European Asylum Support Office (EASO) is an EU agency with a mission to strengthen the cooperation of EU Member States on asylum, supporting implementation of the Common European Asylum System, and assisting Member States suffering from high migration pressure.
Project is a flagship project of the Migration Crisis Response Mechanism, an initiative of the Visegrad Group (V4) countries aiming at addressing the needs that arouse from the current migration challenges.
Project is co-financed from the Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund.
Implementation period 1.04.2021-31.03.2023
Output
100 MS officers of public administration trained in a sequence of 5 training sessions (on-line desk training followed by on-site 5-day training, each for ca. 20 participants) and prepared for tasks and challenges related to participation in EASO Asylum Support Teams.
Outcome
Having completed the training additional pool of 100 experts could be registered in the Asylum Support Teams.
Impact
Increased EASO capability in the scope of supporting the EU Member States which are experiencing exceptional migration pressure and/or increased capacity of migrant processing centres.

Beneficiaries
The short term beneficiaries are trained public officials, medium-term – Member State authorities and EASO due to increased capabilities to deploy experts to AST, long-term beneficiaries are asylum seekers who benefit from improved services at hot-spots and controlled centres as well as societies of the Member States.
